Understanding Your Smile Vision
Before discussing treatment, Dr. Ochoco may ask you for a photo from a time when you loved your smile. These photos are valuable because they represent your vision of what you consider your ideal look.
If you don’t have a photo or have never really liked your smile, that’s okay. Dr. Ochoco’s process includes a conversation and assessment of your current smile, facial proportions, bite, tooth wear, and existing restorations. This step provides a complete picture of what you are hoping to achieve.
How Dr. Ochoco Plans a Smile Makeover
A smile makeover may involve any combination of treatments, including:
- Veneers
- Composite bonding
- Ceramic crowns
- Teeth whitening
- Replacing old dental work
Your Smile Preview
Smile design is a crucial step in the process. First, Dr. Ochoco notes what works and what needs refinement.
After evaluating your smile and taking digital impressions, he creates hand-crafted mockups of the proposed result. You try it, evaluate it, and share your reaction.
He then sends detailed specifications to a custom dental lab that produces a digital version for further review. By the time treatment begins, you have already approved the outcome.
Is there something about your smile you would improve, but aren’t sure how to get there from here? All you know is that years of wear, old dental work, and gradual changes have left you with a smile that no longer reflects who you are.
