Part of making that experience as straightforward as possible is giving our patients clear, honest information about how we handle insurance, so there are no surprises when it comes time to pay.
Dental Insurance
Schuster and Ochoco Dental is an out-of-network provider for all dental insurance plans. This allows Dr. Ochoco to make clinical decisions based entirely on what you need, without the constraints that in-network agreements typically impose.
Being out of network doesn't mean your benefits won't apply. Many PPO plans include strong out-of-network coverage, and preventive services such as cleanings, exams, and x-rays are often reimbursed at 80 to 100 percent. As a courtesy to our patients, we submit claims directly to your PPO insurance on your behalf. You are responsible for any remaining balance after your plan pays.
Please note that we are unable to accept Dental HMO plans, Denti-Cal, or Medical. If you're unsure whether your plan qualifies, our team is happy to help you review your benefits before your appointment.
